Depeche mode music masses

Depeche mode was in the forefront throughout the 80's. Their music influenced many youngsters and teenagers in Europe and America. This was because they incorporated elements from various genres like industrial, Goth, electronic and dance.

They have remained trendsetters and always composed music which they wanted. The band has always done a great job in conveying emotions through their music and sound. The lyrics of Depeche mode's 'Music of the Masses' express the ecstasy of love and the pain that comes along with it. The song was played at all major radio stations several times; the video too was shown many times on MTV.

Depeche mode's music of the masses is their sixth studio album. It was released in the year 1987. Inspite of having unforgettable songs, from the commercial point of view it did not experience the success that it deserved. The song 'Never let me down' from this album still holds relevance. The other songs 'Behind the wheel' and 'Strangelove' are still loved by the masses. This album had something for all of them. These electronic songs were obscure but had insane intensity. This was Depeche mode's second album in the United States which garnered the British dark electronic trio recognition.

Depeche mode's music of the masses was very appealing and one never got tired of listening to it, even though it is now about two decades old. It perhaps leaves a similar effect on the listeners as it did years ago. It is the precursor of Depeche mode's 1990 album 'Violator'; however this factor has always been overlooked. Since then 'Music of the masses' has been re-released and remastered.

Depeche mode's Music of the masses was the second album that sold platinum in the United States. The credit for this goes to Martin gore for his brilliant lyrics and David Gahan for singing them perfectly.

The reverie songs from 'Music of the Masses' which is filled with deep beats of the drum is ideal for the dance floor. It was the elegant and sweet lyrics from this album that set the band apart from its contemporaries.

It was this album that helped the trio find the sound that they were looking for. In this album the role of the guitar is evident right from the beginning notes of 'Never let me down' after which the drum and the keyboards are used. It is a staple album for all Depeche mode fans.

When 'Music of the masses' turned into a big hit, the band embarked on a world tour which culminated with a concert which was attended by 60,000 people in California.
